This internship is with the E-commerce department on the web team. It provides interns with the opportunity to acquire short published clips and gain exposure to many aspects of internet marketing and digital publishing. The internship is flexible and can be tailored to an intern’s own interests and experience.

The internet marketing duties include working on a variety of online campaigns such as e-commerce, social media and online competitive research. Interns will also be needed to create, edit and post a variety of website content using Dreamweaver, Photoshop and HTML.

The editorial duties include writing press releases, conducting editorial outreach and research, and sending editorial submissions. It also occasionally involves networking and communicating with editors of other online publications.

There is also the possibility of helping the web design team with design and coding tasks if the intern has the desire/experience.

Required Qualifications:

• Major must be a college level junior or senior student majoring in Advertising, Marketing, Business, Journalism, English, Communications or related major.
• Excellent oral and written communications skills, including the ability to take initiative and perform follow-up
• Ability to work independently and juggle multiple projects at once
• Excellent computer skills, including familiarity with Windows XP and Office 2003/2007, database programs and Internet research
• Experience with HTML,Adobe CS, and/or Joomla a plus, but not required
• Must provide own transportation
• Must be able to work a minimum of 20+ hours per week
